I am an independent civil and commercial mediator generally working in the North of England, UK
Following a career at the English Bar and as a Senior Circuit Judge based in Leeds, I was trained by the late David Richbell and Jane Gunn at MATA and accredited as a mediator by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in 2011.

My charges for an average 5 hour mediation work out at £650 per party and £100 per party per hour thereafter.
In the field of conflict resolution I have a reputation for patience, active listening, identifying issues, attending to detail, encouraging parties to work at finding resolution, yet ready to challenge where necessary.
I believe in giving back something to the community and regularly work as a volunteer mediator with ARCH Resolution based in the Harrogate and North Yorkshire area. Now also engaging in Restorative Justice with West Yorkshire Restorative Justice Hub.

The background illustrates a peaceful and harmonious existence, which can easily be disrupted as vessels approach in opposite directions.
The lighthouse helps the vessels avoid the treacherous rocks on either side; and significantly helps the vessels to avoid disastrous collision.
